Chicago – Home of the 2016 Summer Olympics?
Just the mere idea that Chicago could host the 2016 Olympics has brought a greater sense of community to this city for the second time this year. Chicago came together when Barak Obama was elected president and people were booming with pride. Now we potentially have the opportunity to show the world how fabulous Chicago natives all know this city to be. If we are awarded the Olympics, this will affect so many people in such positive ways. More jobs will be available, the city will be enhanced with new structures and stadiums and as you walk by each other on the streets you will see the pride and honor on people’s faces as they look at you and share a smile, priceless. The world will know what we already know. Chicago culture has been built over time through a diverse range of ethnic groups settling here and bringing with them tradition, community and hope. We have learned from each other and experienced the joy’s of different backgrounds by walking through the different neighborhoods and dining in any number of the several great restaurants throughout the city. From Greektown, China Town and Italian Village to Deli’s, Pizza and the famous Chicago style hotdog, we are rich in flavor, style and grace and we are looking so forward to sharing that with people all over the globe.
